Hey,

I was just going through the marketplace and noticed how many times people respond to threads when the job's have already been filled or offers are over.

I think it would be nice to give us the option to close are own threads in the marketplace when the job is filled or our auctions are over.

No, simply put it would be abused.

How exactly could it be abused? How can you abuse closing your own threads?

If anything slightly against the thread maker's favor happened the first thing that would come is a lock, which is some cases is not the way to handle the situation. It's best left to moderators. The report button works just fine.

Jeff

Why not a mod that automatically closes the thread after x amount of days? (x amount of days being the auction timeline).

Just a thought..I'd appreciate this as it's annoying seeing new replies to threads to auctions that have already ended and they all end up being "DuDe NiCe WoRk! Its the roxors!"
