Forum modifications
What modifications would you like to see to the forum software? I will take all suggestions into consideration, but it is at the staffs sole discretion what will go on and what will not.

Whilst it's not something I want, but rather something I don't want - please leave the marketplace in it's current form (ie: as subforums) rather than doing any complex system like they use at CT. Maybe cut down the number of subforums a little since some are pretty empty, but please keep the current structure.

I'm guessing this is possible in vBulletin - I do a fair bit of browsing via my iPhone, is there a mod which loads up a special mobile vb theme?
Obviously this is pretty non-essential, thinking out-loud.

Duly noted, but we are mainly looking for suggestions on software modifications and hacks to put on to the forum.

Disallow nonsense threads THROUGHOUT the forum. A lot of this stuff lowers the forum rep.

Also duly noted, but this thread is for suggestions of forum software modifications, not rule changes.

For the mobile version there's actually a very awesome mod: Tapatalk although the iPhone app is $2.99 :\ Still a good one nonetheless!
Some that don't necessarily need to be added but would be a nice touch: - Article Forum
- vBExperience
- Tweet Poster - This one might actually be something more for the marketplace; Perhaps setting up a TFL twitter account that will have posts for latest items sold in marketplace. That way if a user is following the TFL account they can see immediately when something is added.
- Post Thank You - I'd rather use this to thank someone in a forum than just spamming it to say "thank you" in a post.
- Engage Twitter
- Staff Tracker
Some/most of these are for the most recent version of vB though so I'm not sure how that would pan out if any of the ideas were implemented.

It would be great to have some sort of feed at the top of the forum with the latest items added to the market place and articles added and bits of news from around the forums.
Maybe like a scrolling text below the forum search or bar at the bottom of the window similar to facebook.com.
On a financial note, we could offer a space on the feed for an advertisement. Nothing massive.

Just reminded myself after I saw this on another forum:
- Automatically resize images to ###x### resolution so it does't stretch out the forums.

You enjoy having ads shoved in your face?
