  Old  Ikobo

Hi.
not sure where to post this so i posted it here in the lounge anways ,

I have just registered for an account in Ikobo.com and I'm waiting for my I-kard to arrive. Everything went perfectly. It said you won't get your I-kard unless someone pays you . My partner send me $10 to my Ikobo account and paid for the I-Kard delivery and everything and I got email to wait 3-7 business days for the card to be delivered at your home.

What I want to know is Pros and Cons of Ikobo ? does anyone uses it for online transaction?

Thank you

Do you have I-kard? or do you just use your credit card to pay ? did you get you I-kard? I'm just waiting for my I-kard to be delivered.

I need to know something , in order to withdraw money from ATM do u first have to withdraw it to your card from the website?

Can you find pros and cons there? that's what forums are for.

Please don't reply if you haven't used Ikobo.

- Thanks.

My clients have paid me several times through iKobo (they had used it before and insisted to use it).

Pros and cons:

(+) Quick i-kard delivery (a few days in my case)
(+) After the money is sent, You can withdraw it from ATMs almost at once, also withdrawal fee is quite reasonable

(-) Frustrating and sometimes failing process of authorizing for bigger money transfers. I don't remember exact figures, but something above $200 or $250 has to be verified.
(-) A friend of mine had a few unexpected transactions/charges - for example they credited his account with a money sent by a client... TWICE

One of my clients, even though he was using iKobo before, got so mad with them that he decided to send monet via wire transfer to avoid their time consuming verification procedures.

So for smaller amounts, this can be a good solution. For bigger ones too, but if You are patient (or maybe lucky)

yes, i have an I-Kard, it took 2 weeks to arrive ( i live outside USA).
i must say though that i've haven't used it lately......didn't even noticed their new site design...lol

But like what Varelse said..transaction is easy...you can withdraw your cash from any ATM machine (appreantly that has the "Visa" Logo" ).

Just wondering why you decided to signup with this processor? Are you using this over paypal or as an alternative?
