Old  How to get this done

Hey everyone. I need to figure out how to allow my clients to upload pics to their site without me having to do it for them. They want to be able upload pics and put a description of the pic as often as they want. I know there is a way to get this done without having to show them ftp and html and the sort. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I am not a programmer, but I presume it depends on the content management solution they are using. If they are using WordPress, for example, you can simply teach them how to operate that function.

Another idea to use a simple image upload script customized to upload images where you need them.

You should definetely go for a CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

This will allow you full control over your website.
Yes, getting your current design to work with this engine might be tedious, but you'll be rewarded later on when you don't have to be touching the system now and then

It's definitely worth it

I guess it depends on what/how these images are going to be displayed. Are they just wanting an image url so they can post that picture on other sites or what? If so, check out these...

I haven't done or used any image upload scripts, but those would seem like the best bet.

If they own some sort of gallery, it would be best to just use a CMS like Wordpress. Create a gallery page that will just allow them to add and delete pictures with the built in [Gallery] tags.

I've used this in the past, for class projects and all

Basically, they require you to put a certain tag...[cushcmys] or somethign similar to the areas you wan't the client to be able to edit...This will only let them change that certain area without messing up the site. I belive so the trial works for a couple of sites that you can let your clients handle. But if you have big amount of clients, you can go for the PRO version. It will let you manage thousands of web-sites
