I think I saw this same post some place else

Anyways, good basic tips. But there are better ways of building links One of them is by providing good, useful and unique content. Once other sites sees the value in your content - links would come naturally

I also have a good list of Free Directories in my SEO Directory that are categorize by General, Blog, RSS and SEO related Directories.
