 PhP vs. Python
I've noticed ALOT of good API's out for both of them nowadays. Which one would you recommend pursuing.
I already have years of experience with both.

something about PHP just spells fresh, but like everyone else is going to say, they both have their pros and cons so getting to know 2 languages is better then wasting time arguing which is better.imo.

He is trying to say, if he was to learn a one ( php or python ) what one would you recommend. He stated that there are many API out and what language would most help him in them.
Personally I think I would learn PHP as its a newer language and many people are using it now a days.

As both are supported equally, and are easy to extend towards common Programming Languages, such as Java or C*, it's effective to understand how both function.
You'll find exclusive contracts with Python, however, PHP is more commonly used in terms of potential client requirements.

Probably he's simply fed up with knowing both. Or maybe he has a project in mind and can't decide whether PHP or Python would be the best choice. But I agree with JulesR and AndrewGwood. Both have pros and cons yet knowing both languages is an advantage.

PHP is something im more comfortable with, its the closest to javascript and its just more familiar and commonly seen. Python is scary for me, i tried installing something once and totally screwed up my host XD
Each has its purpose, I think PHP covers all mine.

I know both, and from my experience I think Python is a lot cleaner and more flexible...
PHP is good for rapidly making a simple website, but nowadays personally I seem to find myself even web programming in Python do to it's smooth complete nature...
But PHP does have a pretty good marketplace going on,
and is what I normally work in do to availability, even though I prefer Python...
IMO I would go with what ever jobs look the funnest and pay best..
