Are you using a pre-built script that has this function? If not, a login requires a database and server side script. If the page is public I'd strongly suggest hiring a knowledgeable person to do this because it can be a major security problem if done wrong.

I take it that you are the knowledgable person I should hire...I can do it myself, I'm not using a pre-built script.....I just prefer asking for advice before I do any scripting....if there's an easier way to do it then I would like to know...
This isn't really the response I was hoping for, but thank you for your advice....

I'm actually not available for new projects, not for at least another three months. I don't even do stuff this small these days. But I see how it could look like a conflict of interest. I meant everything I said, bad logins are the second most common problem in beginner's scripts (SQL injection is the 1st).

juse, if you need to hire a coder. I am willing to take this job. Coding will not take long at all and price will be reasonable.

If the thread and interest is still active (if not, I'm posting for the sake of documenting) I may recommend you use a remotely hosted form generator, which completely automates the process. Check out 123ContactForm. I have used it successfuly, I allows tweaking the codes and designing the form as you wish, with full CSS customization.
