Indeed it will be, from what I can see it doesn't look too hard on the coding end

Working with Chris to finish up the design (it has changed some since what was available for the voting period), Gareth is all done playing with the latest vBulletin forum and is keen on coding and transferring things to vB 4.0. Hands full.

Would be interesting to actually know what progress has been made. You can't afford to keep users in the dark.
Yaxay.. TutorialForums.. TalkFreelance.. seems all forums have a life expectancy.
I'm probably not alone here.. I've lost any urge to log into TF and contribute. I've just read Salathe had stepped down, shame.
With the amount of suggestions people flung your way, I'm baffled why a marketplace idea competition was needed.
On the plus side, activity in General Chat seems somewhat on topic.
Good luck.

I've been keeping my silence on this matter for a long time now just to keep peace, but I agree with you. I really want TF to succeed but I just don't see it happening.

Dan, some visual bits of the new design were released exclusively on our Facebook page. I anticipate we'll have the new theme coded, tested and released by Christmas.
Considering TF is not my only job, lots of hours were also invested in finding good writers for the blog. Obviously, that kind of work is done behind the scene, so at some point you'll just see it.

It is possible I'll post some new screens this coming week. We are days away from the final product anyway. However, our Facebook fans will get the exclusive first look.

There may or may not be some correlation between my involvement at the upper levels of such forums and their ultimate demise. (I'm only part-joking of course, I had nothing to do with TutorialForums.) I can agree that many forums do have a life expectancy, a lucky few make it back from the brink and an even luckier few last anywhere near as long as this place has.

I still log in, if only to roll my eyes at the awful threads being posted. Where's the banter, where's the knowledge-sharing?!

I may be wrong (do feel free to call me out on this) but it wasn't so much about getting new ideas. Either that, or I'm totally giving Artashes too much credit.

Post them here first; here is the place that should be receiving special attention, exclusive sneak-peeks. Show your community here that you care, not some little clique who "like" this site.

Don't forget TalkPHP (which I consider gone as of about a year ago).

As Sal said, put them here first. It doesn't make sense to have a Facebook exclusive with as small of a user base as TF has. Especially since absolutely no one except registered members would care for this update, its not like it will function as a marketing tool.
