Google shares hit $400!

Shares of Google (Research) have nearly doubled this year and have surged about 350 percent since the company's initial public offering in August 2004. As of Wednesday morning, the stock was trading around $380. So it only needs to head about 5 percent higher to pass the rarified air that is the $400 level.

Has anyone here got shares in Google? I remember a few years ago (when they first started on the stock exchange) they were alot cheaper! Is it worth investing now?

I say no. Google are expanding way too fast, and they are too young for that. I know alot of people are going to disagree with me, but I have also heard many smart people that agree with me. Google are very slowly becoming the evil empire. Remember what happened to Webvan when they expanded too fast?

Than again, If that was to happen it won't be for a few years

I would definatley like shares in Google, but don't have the money to purchase any right now.

I pretty much agree with Cheyne, better to invest in something "safer".

I'd say yes... Google may be expanding fast but they are checking every solution before doing so. They have yet to bomb or mess up bigtime. With all the manpower and industry power they are gaining, it will take more than a bump to take them down.
