Parked domain question
Just have a little question about parked domains. Is a parked name able to point to a subfolder? I don't wan't it to point directly to where my original domain name is directed to, but a subfolder so that I could be running two seperate websites with one host? Is this unethical? Sorry if it is a dumb question.

But what if the host only allows for parked domains and not add-on domains?

As Nirvana said, this would be an addon domain. If you create an addon domain with the domain of yahoo.com it would create a folder in your public_html called yahoo etc. You would then upload the files there. Visitors wouldn't even notice it was an addon domain.

Most hosts should allow addon domains. I do not understand why some charge for them since they are virtually free. If you need a host that allows addon domains, check out my signature.

Well, if your host doesn't allow addon domains, then I guess you are out of luck... Its just an alternative to the namecheap park, you can't actually use the domain...

I could probably request that they allow add-on domains with my service for a small fee. If do get it, would there be any disadvantages to going this way instead of buying seperate hosting for the new domain?

I am using a company called Iborderliner. Yes they may be cheap, but to my surprise they have been a great host for over a year now with my poultry website.
