  Old  [class work] poster design

poster promoting a 1970's art exhibition

i'm mainly concered w/ layout. none of thise was particularly challenging in terms of illustration being flat cartoon/shillouettes at the moment - i also don't intend to do any other styles.

i'm stil thinking about outlinging some signature furniture from the 70s behind stu's head but i haven't found anything i like yet. there's also something bothering me about whow i've placed the text, i can't tell if it'e the gap between the title and the location/date, how it relates to the shillouete in the background or a combination of both.

i've got until thursday at the latest before i have to ship it off to be printed, so i'm open to suggestions while i can get them.

It's awesome! I love the colours and general vibe it's created. I think you need a disco ball though (nah joking haha) anything else would just clutter it up imo, it's perfect to attract the attention of a passer by and inform them of the event. Using the simpsons character was a idea! Very creative.

i actually thought about using a disco ball, but it would seem to clutter it, so in the top right i made a very opaque circle and used the background pattern to somewhat simulate the different spots on one.
