SWF in CSS Background class

I've had trouble getting a SWF in my CSS class as the background image.
Does anyone have a workaround for this?

I've heard that using an external JS file may work....no luck though.

Flash is not an internally handled media type - it requires an external plugin. GIF, JPG, and PNG are all rendered by the browser itself. SWF is rendered by the Flash plugin. Likewise, you aren't going to be able to use a QuickTime movie, a Photoshop PSD, or a PDF as a CSS background-image.
