Google Competitor
Check out the new search engine.
http://beta.previewseek.com/
I think now google is not alone now, they got competitor.
If you search "Mercury" in google, it will show all the results about planet mercury but if u search same thing on previewseek, it will enlist all the alternatives of mercury whether it is planet or software or nonmetal. Truely, an advanced search engine....... ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)

It's a good and innovative idea, and it could become a good competitor to google, but I've never heard of this before, google is known by billions.

Categorical search engines like that have been around for a while.
It will never come close to google's success because it's complex. Researchers may want that depth of information, but Google has the simplicity factor which means anyone can get on and search for anything and 90% of the time find relevant results with one click.

I like it a lot. I will use it aswell as google. Google will be my main search engine still however if I want something that may have a few differen't websites under it's name I would use it.

Nothing has a chance of beating Google with the exception of Yahoo and MSN. The current big SEs are basically monopolies right now.

It isn't direct competition, it's a gimmick and that's all it will be. I can't see people using this instead of Google, Google is faster and more accurate with it's results.

Google is totally different. This looks exactly like a yahoo! result page with minor modifications . may be its retrieving results from Yahoo!
