  Old  help me please

Hey , i've always been a fan of those chinese websites.
And always wanted to try something like that .
I want to create a template (pure practise) in chinese style.
Here are some samples:
1: template 1
2: template 2

As you can see many patterns and brushes have been used.
If you find any brushes you think i can use please post them.
So anything related to chinese stuff , like brushes with chinese marks or dragons, bamboo , etc....

Thanxs

Study some chinese litterature, look at images, etc.
Some "chinese" pictures will help, (in the design), but really, that's it.
It isn't a "style", it's just a template.

Or, I don't know what I'm writing right now, lol. I'm tired.
Sorry...

PS. What about CSSZenGarden?

Know some Chinese backgrounds and their popular stories and stuff to get a better feel of what to use.

deviantART might have free textures for you to use and find some custom shapes (also from dA). I can research a little more for you in a bit.

here's a bamboo tutorial. Look around that site for some inspiration. The flash version is quite cool, and there's a "secrets revealed" part where he told his design process.

That dragon from the second site is ripped from a tattoo studio. I know this because I was researching dragon tattoos for a friend.

niek, you are going to have to do your own research on this topic. It's the only way to learn new styles. Run searches for asian styles. Look through the Adobe users brushes, look through deviantart for brushes.
