Old  Is it possible to do masking effect with CSS ???

Hi,

I would like to get some help from the experts out there ...

I am working on a XHTML+CSS website which needs to display a particular set of data from another web page. Is it possible to do some kind of masking effect with css or any other script so that only the required data will be shown hiding the areas like header and footer of the other web page and it will be shown with only the required data in IE and Firefox.

I am not sure whelther something like this can be done , if its possible in any method to please help me !!!

Thank you ...

the closest thing you're going to get is applying display: none to somthing, but if you're linking to outside material i think you're out of luck applying styles to it.

Not unless the outside source has the same classes/ids and attributes as your stylesheet does. Sorry man.

you need to be more clear on what I am working on a XHTML+CSS website which needs to display a particular set of data from another web page. means.

if you're doing something like an include, where it brings an outside source into your source, you can use display:none; on the elements you dont' want displayed, but yeah, if you send the user outside your own pages your sol.
