Long term goals tend to change as time goes on and unexpected things come up altering my perspective and viewpoints on what I want from life.

I 100% agree with Blaine. I stopped trying to plan for the distant future and just go with the flow, pretty much.

To continue professionally programming, it doesn't really matter in what as long as it makes money. Right now I'm focusing on .NET, but who knows what will be big in 30 or 40 years from now. The important thing is that I'm ready for the changes and go with it as soon as it comes.

Long term I would say for me is just about 2-3 months ahead and what I want to achieve by then. Can't really think what would work few years down the line so I prefer to stick with short term goals.

Finish my degree with a first would be nice. Then get a job. I'm afraid thats all i can say right now. Eventually i'd like to have my own or be part of a new start up company.
