When I started this forum, one thing I didn't want was to hack this place to death. I prefer doing things the "manual" way. It's more bother than it's worth especially when upgrades are concerned. If people can't be bothered to read the rules then they will suffer the consequences.

I agree that it's not worth having a hack for this.
It's only a very small minority that want a huge pic in their sig (here at least - have seen some where you had to scroll a page to get past the sig image).
Robson, rather than disable that persons sig you could always change it to something like "I'm too stupid to read the rules".

I could seen.to, but that is rather unprofessional. It will be a simple "You have violated the signiture rules, please contact an administrator to have your privilages revoked"

Would it not be better just to take everything out and leave nothing there? Pardon me if its rude but its more professional than either way suggested

Making it blank would work.
How about repeat offenders?
I'd suggest changing their Status: to "7w470r" which all of their 1337 h4x0r friends would laugh at them for.
j/k probably

Making it blank wouldn't work. That would require me to then send a PM to the user in question telling them why their signiture is blank. If I make it blank then people will ask me "why is my sig blank"....a simple "You sig has been suspended in violation of the rules" will do.

And Rob, since when have you had to perform an upgrade? I'm the one who deals with that stuff
