I just picked it up about 4 years back to make a signature for a forum and I have been using it since. I pretty much taugh myself through trial and error and a tutorial here and there.

well dont i feel out of date.. sort of.... i didnt get into computers untill ned of high school!!! and im talking last years....
and only found out i wanted to do web design half way thru uni!, so now im competing with the next generation..... who can obviosley flog my ass in many aspects, imagine what they will be be doing in another 8 or so years when they (you) are my age!! ouch! but i aint goin down without a fight damnit!

I learned this at age 12, from my brother during his one school project. Interested me and I went from there.

i started using frontpage when i was like 10, then dreamweaver and fireworks like when i was 12, and then started using photoshop when i was 14. learned html and css when i was 15. all self taught.

I started a Dragonball Z site about 4 years ago. That was HTML, Photoshop and PHP came soon after when I started a Command and Conquer fansite.
All self taught, honestly if you find someone that is good with photoshop, they are usually self-taught.

I was 15 when i coded what is now the biggest bannerexchange in the Netherlands. I just became 18 last week, and when i see it, the code sucks, but it's working.
Someone asked me if I could code this bannerexchange (i did some little ugly design work before). I said yes without knowing what/how/etc. It took me half a year, but I made it, and now it still has a reach of 200.000 bannerviews/month. Since then I can code, all learned my self with a little help sometimes from forums like this.
Now I have also improved my designing skills very much, and get more and more hired for design work too! (portfolio coming soon)
