With it being Microsoft, you know you'll have to tell it 10 times what you want it doing. I can just see a mate coming round, putting his phone on the table, and all these rude pictures jumping out! You're left there dealing with the ever irritating Microsoft Surface trying to drag them all away before your niece walks in to draw a pretty picture for the family.

Hmm, ..... Yep... yep....
Well that decides it. I'm going to buy that once it comes out.

Nothing new really. Things like this have been in development for a while with lots of companies making these interactive surfaces. To put it simply though, what's the use of it really? I want a table that I can put things on without covering up a large screen.

I could really only see this being used for business purposes (maybe for like meetings or something), and not really much for personal use (because of cost, and there is little point).
Also, to whoever said it would suck because it's MS, I'd just like to say that MS makes amazing hardware, the only thing that sucks it the software (but usually it's because of a third party error).

You know how wobbly Windows gets when you add hardware and try to make it work with its software. Here we have lots of third party hardware to intergrate: phones, mugs, cameras and fingers. Looking forward to it!
It won't be good for games though. Imagine trying to play poker on it. You'd be forever accusing people of looking at your hand.
