Email marketing is not just something you do if you have no one to email (unless you are spamming).
Email marketing is the art of keeping in touch with a group of clients/readers and maximizing the effectiveness of that communication through action they take.

Unless they are all opt in members wanting to receive your emails.
Otherwise the so called 'spamming' will never bring in traffic with the spam protection the email clients offer these days.

Hello,
Actually, email marketing is not valueless totally, Partially its true that you can generate a less number of traffic through email marketing.
Because, If you send multiple emails then you are called a spammer. So, be cautious for this kind of activity.
Thanks..........

I wouldn't use email marketing for traffic. It won't help, unless people, are subscribed, requesting and/or agreed to receive advertising emails from you.
If you just by a database, your email will most likely end up in the Spam folder, and eventually in trash, without even being opened. That's what I am doing with such emails...

Best just to use e-mail marketing for actual members, as it will begin to look like spam, as pretty much everyone has stated...

IF only you have a list who have subscribed to your e mail-newsletters and if you have a baitful type of quality material leading them to visit your site again wanting more, is an extremely good way to attain immediate traffic.

E-mail marketing works better when you're distributing a newsletter or getting out information about the site, but ask on your site whether people are interested.

In fact, I think email marketing is still useful although there are lots of spam email in it. But as long as you follow the ethical manners, email marketing can do you a great favor!
Here are some tips:
1. First, define your email marketing goals.
2. Targeting your message
3. Write an Effective Subject Line
4. Don't Abuse Your Customers Trust - Don't make the mistake of sending too frequent emails and offers
