Windows XP.
Bnecuase I'm comfortable with it, it's highly customisable and easy to personalise. It's familiar too (Been using Windows all my life).

Windows XP Pro
I have to suffer with XP Home though.
I've used lots of Macs for the first half of my life, and my girlfriend has Macs in her house. I've used Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000. And that's about it.

My partner is considering changing over to Solaris.
Anyone ever use that?

Windows XP: Because, it's all I've really ever used, I did have Windows 98 for a while, but I've used XP longer and become used to it.

Depends what the OS is for but for a home based type system I like windows XP. I haven't used many other types of OS' then microsoft windows (since 3.1) but I have used redhat linux and it is reasonably good but I still prefer the windows XP interface over gnome etc.

Mac OS 10.4
Easier for a lot of things. Music, videos, photos, and awesome widgets (you can't get that in windows).

You can get widgets in WinXP -_- it's called Konfabulator for Windows
Mac OS X - uch more stable, and more media/design oriented

There are many widget apps for windows xp. I use windows xp pro at the moment simply because I grew up with windows 98 and I am just use to everything to it and I wouldn't be comfortable switching my os since I am to familiar with it.
