Hello there! Could anyone give me some advice/resources to start learning the raw basics of HTML? Also anything to take into consideration?

Those are some great resources. I would also say to not be afraid to play around and try crazy things in your own html files. When you learn the building blocks, you'll want to play with the wacky ideas you have at first. It helps you figure out rights, wrongs and your style.

For online tutorial, I'd recommend HTML Dog: http://www.htmldog.com

Not just a reference but a layered tutorial that's good for both beginner and advanced learners, it's written by someone who truly knows what HTML/CSS is all about.

Other than this, you can also take a look at these HTML books.

w3schools is definitely an amazing resource- one way I taught myself was to download different 'free' templates (just google it, there's hundreds of resources) then play around with the source files as you learn more to see the different effects you can achieve. Also found this a great way to learn css- it forces you to start deconstructing the files and working your way through them to get the final outcome you want. Good luck! x

Ann.ie what you have to be careful about there is that more often than not those free templates are poor quality code, so while they are good to start off with anybody wanting to learn html/css should try and start making their own templates (as simple as necessary) and learn from the ground up..
