How to get good traffic?

Get listed on Google Search engine as soon as possible.
For this you should have good on site as well as good off site factors.
For on site factors you should have unique contents on your pages,and your site should be user attractve.
For off site factors you should have good and quality backlinks.

Optimise it. And Promote (Advertise) it. Thats the only way. I really don't believe in submissions. They just improve your rankings, nothing else.

It depends on how you promote your site. A regular update is must if you want to have a good traffic but it should have a good and interesting content because readers always want something new..

There may be lot of ways to get traffic. But its totally depends on your site. You have to find relevant methods for your site.
For example: If you are going to sell a land or house, caiglist classified will help.

that's right, classified ads posting helps alot.and some of it are do follow..like

and many more..

you could try advertising on some popular sites like WTF

To get lots of traffic to a website, do regular content addition and get links from top blogs and websites in your niche
