Hi,
Up for sale today is a band website devoted to Seether, http://www.seether.info

The reason for starting up a seether fansite was :

1) They're one of my favorite bands
2) Their new album hits the shelves on the 23rd of October, no better time to start a fan site
3) There are hardly any quality Seether fan sites - There are a couple, but they're quite old and hardly up to date.

Thus, seether.info was born on the 31st of August, 2007.

Now, the site didn't really take off as I expected since I'm not really great with SEO, I was hoping the site would hit the first page on google for "Seether", however it didnt. The site did however appear on google for phrases such as "seether forum", "seether store", "seether apparel" and a few more.

However, I'm no SEO expert, and anyone with a decent knowledge of SEO will know the tremendous potential this site has.

The site features one of the best band website designs, and was recently features on various distinguished css galleries such as MostInspired , lightondark and CSSMania to name a few.

The site runs on the easy to use CMS Textpattern. PunBB forums have been integrated into the layout as well. There is also a downloads script that has been integrated into the site.

The site has received over 1500 unique visitors since it was launched on the 31st of August. It now averages around 100-120 uniques a day.

There are some problems with the stats screenshot on that image, since the site was transferred to a new server, and after a few days I noticed I couldn't login to the Textpattern admin area, so I had to get it re-transferred, so that's why there are some days when there are 0 visitors.

I have used AuctionAds and Amazon associates to monetize the site, no the site is not banned by Google, but I thought that AuctionAds would convert better than Adsense on such a site.

I have made around $5.5 from AuctionAds and zilch from Amazon.

I guess Adsense would have been the better choice, or it should have been used alongside auctionads.

I am selling to clear out my portfolio. I have no use for this site, and don't plan on further developing it either. It'll only sit there, and eventually lose all traffic over time.
