There was a thread on WHT about this - seems everyone is having problems with it.

I can't see google suddenly removing the PR rating - just doesn't make any sense. I'd guess it's broken or they've taken it down for a while to change some things about. I had a look around a few news sites as well, nothing about it anyway. It would be nice if they told us what was happening somewhere.

Everyone is buzzing about this. Some say it's probably a PR update and will come back in 2 hours. Others are predicting 48 hrs. Still others say the sky is falling. To keep up to date go to http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/pa...date-list.html

Google just released a new toolbar.. Why would they include pagerank with the new toolbar, if they were going to quit using it?

Sonia, please do not plug your own forum outside of the advertising forums.

I don't believe this is anything too drastic, probably a software/hardware bug or an upgrade google are in the process of doing. People seem to have formed strong opinions on this being the end of google PR, I honestly think google would have warned their users or at least consulted them first.

I certainly hope your right, but its been more than 48 hours since the PR's disappeared, its certainly not an update to the PR's because in that case all websites give a 0 PR not -1 as all websites are giving now, I would say google is implmenting a new way to determine a websites PR, especially after all of the spamming methods that were used to increase the PR.

Edit: actually I just checked and it seems the PR's are back, its not showing up in my tool bar, however if you try using pagerank.net or whatsmypagerank.com you can see that PR's are back.
