Can't say I really know. I have been doing nothing but making graphic logos for clients and decided I should get into web design to make a better income. So the question you guys are asking me, is the question I guess I was trying to ask you. Web design is brand new to me, and I am learning from a book that is taking me through beginner steps. Pardon if I'm not using the correct terms, because my dad kind of seemed confused when I asked for his help as well. The book is the quickstart CS5 books with the white rabbit on the front. It is currently teaching me how to connect to remote severs and such. So I got a free domain from 000webhost.com and I'm planning on using it to learn and practice web design. Like I said this is all new to me, and I am learning about how websites work bit by bit every day.

It appears to me that you are trying to learn how to program (create) a website from a book that is trying to teach you how to use dreamweaver .....
Try this instead
http://www.w3schools.com/
w3 schools will get you heading in the right direction with learning all the new terms and stuff. You don't need to spend any money on any programs right now, everything you need to create a basic website can be obtained on the internet for free. (ie: knowledge, software)
Good luck
