Yeah that is true. This site has more than enough potential that is for sure. I have a few ideas for some new features, If I catch you on AIM i'll share them with you.

I was on a Site like this this time last year in the same situation; now it has the above And its had a whole lot of crap in that time - maybe we'll do it in 2005!

Currently we aren't advertising anywhere (as far as i'm aware) I think namepros might still be running our banners. We ended our major campaigns last month.
Most traffic is now coming from forums, members linking to us and link exchanges. Google and other search engines are also bringing in some traffic. I'm currently saving the pennies to advertise on a few larger sites.

Yeah I see links to the site on a few different forums. I bet if you get a few more tutorials going, or maybe even create a forum for industry news or technology news and have a moderator or an admin for that forum and they can just post all the recent technology news articles. That could definitely drive some traffic from google and other websites. Just an idea!

True, however some methods don't exactly bring in the "members" I would like tf to consist of and they often attract members who simply don't post....creating a huge community that's very inactive. Check out www.daniweb.com, they have 30,000 members, yet 9,000 have posted! Yaxay have nearly 10,000 members and only half have posted! I'm trying to specifcally target my advertising to those interested in the community....

Yeah understood, I know how you feel. My site's forums used to have a decent amount of members yet not even half of them were active or even had 1 post. Aiming your advertising at a crowd that has interest in this subject should definitely bring in some active members. I believe last time I checked stats most members were active, although I could be wrong...
