What can i do?

I started a forum and well basicly like everyone i want to get my forum popular. Can anyone recommend anything, and please don't say advertise because it is abviouse. What i mean is the way i can advertise and maybe that you allready tested on yourself or just know they are going to work. Ofcourse i would like free ways to advertise but ofcourse i would be willing to put money into it if they is some sort of guarantee.

There is no guarantee in advertising... And results are usually very low :P

Become affiliated with other sites/forums that resemble yours. Put your ads in your signatures in every forum you go to(Make sure that is allowed) Add to google/yahoo etc. Remember DO NOT SPAM. That is low!

Yea, i don't spam but i know really know any sites that will put a link on their web site because i get no hits yet... well when i do get hits i will then ofcourse will look for an affiliate. But i don't know what to do for now =[

Buy sponsor space here...and at wth and sitepoint etc... you will only waste around 100$ and will get lots of hits in a month to get started.

Couldn't agree more Dray, Sponsor this forum and yours will be boosted (but don't waste you're money if it's totally unrelated). Don't bother with rotater ads as they won't get a decent enough CTR. Make the forum active yourself by posting new threads each day. I would be sure to steer clear from any posting service, they're usually rubbish!
