PHPBB Help

I am currently in the process of skinning my PHPBB forums. I have copied the sub silver style and made a new style ready to edit. I've got the new style working and now am trying to skin it to fit inside my website template. I can't find any damn tutorials on PHPBB skinning. I have tried editing index_body.tpl by putting all of its content into my webiste template. It partially works but none of the link work and the header and footer are outsite the template.

Also where do you go in the admin CP of PHPBB to stop ungeristered users from posting.
