  Old  Moving a MYSQL Database

Does anybody know how to do this. I know how, however when I try to either Import or run the query it tells me that access is denied for "localhost." Does anybody know what I should do.

Thank you,
Foxtrot

Well to say the least, that is an error with your database connection, not the data which you backed up and now want to restore.

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/...ss-denied.html is a great place to start for troubleshooting, although if you have a shared host, much of it you won't be able to do. It all depends on what your exact issue turns out to be.

Thank you,

Please explain the exact process you're going through, so we have a better idea where the problem may be originating from.

If the error is showing up in a PHP script, then chances are you're not connected to the database properly. Check your username and password within the mysql_connect/mysql_pconnect lines for verification.
