No problem, but it just bugs me, and probably the same with many others, why need a review when the obvious is right there in front of you? It must be some weird perception thing, that you see your work differently to others, strange how it works.

Anyhow, as extended "ADVICE", keep at it, keep an eager eye on galleries i.e( cssmania.com ), then you'll learn.

I agree with everyone else that it looks extremely outdated, but I'll try to do my best to give you a few tips. I'd take enigma's advice and just practice basic design concepts, because there is a great learning curve.

I see some of your biggest design issues are:

1) Visual hierarchy
2) Color
3) Spacing/margins/effective use of whitespace

Here are some resources to get you started:

Visual Hierarchy: http://blog.themeforest.net/tutorial...-in-web-design

Colors, General Tools: http://webitect.net/design/5-tools-f...b-designer.php
(sorry, I'm not trying to shamefully plug my own blog, I just feel the resources in this post I wrote could help you out a lot, especially the Color Scheme Designer 3)

Spacing, marginal issues: http://webdesigntuts.com/web-design/...-in-web-design

Thanks a lot, especially for breaking it down to specific issues!
P.S. I bookmarked your blog

Look on http://www.cssmania.com or any other web gallery and take some notes.

That's the exact reason why I don't design. Best design of mine to date has bee http://relyt.us.

But you're on your grind and hustling so I can't make fun of you, just pick up some web designing books or read some tutorials on how to make good looking "web 2.0" websites. As far as feedback on your current design goes, it doesn't look good you need to make it more current.

I really don't think it looks that bad though. However, I can agree with the others, it's more of a 90's look though. Quick Marty, let's get into the time machine and go ahead 10 to 20 years!

A lot of the guys are just blunt about their opinions and such, it's not a bad thing though. Just take it as "helping you" and act on their suggestions / opinions... Heck, I had a few I started, and Adam (enigma) bluntly told me to delete it off the computer completely and start something else... LOL!

Thank you all, guys! Believe me, I'm taking it all in! Putting myself out there while I'm only starting up - it's quite masochistic, but it lets me speed up the understanding what the general tendencies and likes are for different demographics ... I wish I could make a contest for my own website design.

That is true though... And I guess in most cases, this is where "truth hurts". Haha. Some might think of me as an a-hole and down right nasty, and other times I have a huge heart and get my message across in a more caring approach.

But either way, as most parents teach their kids, speaking the truth is always the best thing to do. Because speaking lies will only come back to bite you in the arse and be damaging.

You're welcome. I've been out of designing for years sigh. Recently started back into it, but practice and learning does make perfect! Just takes some time and you'll get there before you know it! (Not saying / meaning that you don't know how to design, just meant, never mind I'll shut up now... LOL!)
